We disembarked in Bergen where we spent a nigh and a day. Once the largest city in Norway it now is #2. They know they are still #1 though in every other aspect. We did much walking and then rode the funicular to the high point. We had a fabulous hotel room right on the warf pictured here and an extremely expensive sushi dinner. As we found out first hand, everything in Norway is expensive. A cup of regular coffee, no refill, is about $5. A bottle of beer in the store is about $7 or $8 and in the restaurant it was $10 to $15. An ordinary meal out is at least$75. Norwegians make a lot of money, but still.......I guess it has to do with all the oil they have in the north.
Some fish at the street vendor and some baby Norwegians watching the funicular.
